New Student Hub

In semester 2 a new Student Hub is opening at the Mt Albert Campus. This guide provides practical information to keep you informed on related matters that may impact you.

Impact on Library Services

Hub Library - moving to new Hub, so closed from 8 July to 23 July 2017**. 

Waitakere Library - all services will continue

Building 1 Library -  all services will continue

Online - all services and e-resources will continue at including Live Help

Services available for students in the new Hub

Level 0

  • Health and wellbeing clinic - providing physical and mental health services

Level 1

  • Ask Me desk for general enquiries, directions, tech help & laptop loans
  • Library services
  • Printing / copying / scanning (also self-service on levels 2 & 3)

Level 2

  • Academic skills workshops (book online )
  • Assignment and referencing help
  • Career and financial advice
  • Disability advice and support (includes notetakers, reader/writer exam support and more)
  • English language assistance in relation to study
  • Learning guidance and support
  • Library self-service
  • Maths and statistics support
  • Scholarships advice
  • Student advocacy and complaints

Level 3

  • Language Learning Centre
  • Library self-service

Group Study Rooms

Several group study rooms are located in the New Hub for student use. To book a room students will use the Group Study Room Booking System. Access the booking system via the Student Portal under 'Useful Links' or via the library website home page under 'Popular Resources').

Quiet study areas

Quiet study areas are on levels 2 and 3 - enter on the north side of the building near the main stairwell
