The Hub Library is a key part of the new Student Hub.
Library customer services staff will be present at library service pods on levels 1, 2 and 3 and are also likely to be at the Ask Me desk on level 1 together with Student Central customer services staff.
Library books and other resources will be located on shelves throughout levels 1, 2 and 3 of the building. Students can borrow books and journals themselves, using the self-service machines that will be located on each level.
Several group study rooms are located in the New Hub for student use. To book a room students will use the Group Study Room Booking System. Access the booking system via the Student Portal under 'Useful Links' or via the library website home page under 'Popular Resources').
The Library collection (including books. journals and other items) will be moved from both the existing Hub Library (B110) and the Hub Library Storage area (B114) during the second week of the mid-year break. The Hub Library will close while the move happens and re-open in the new Student Hub at beginning of semester 2.
The collection from B110 will be located across Levels 1 - 3 of the new Hub as follows:
Level 1: Books in Dewey Decimal classes range 000s to 500s, Journals, Reference books, Recreational Reading books, New books and journals, and Course Reserve.
Level 2: Books in Dewey Decimal class 600s
